At our final meeting with senior local politicians, Ben Fitter-Harding informed us the next stage of the plan was being delayed until November due to the large number of consultation responses.
Feature on how the village has expanded yet lost many local services. Aylesham will be surrounded by a further 4,200 housing units under combined CCC and DDC proposals.
CARE's response: This is a surprise application which wasn't in the Draft Local Plan. The CPA (Community Planning Alliance) have told us there have been a sudden increase in applications like this since the end of compulsory national housebuilding targets.
Including housing targets, infrastructure and building on farmland and open countryside.
The council voted narrowly, 7-5 in favour. This is a 6.7 hectare site at Highland Court Farm (Canterbury Business Park) which would include a 120x100 metre warehouse. Kent Downs AONB say landscaping cannot mitigate the size of the development and the test for "exceptional reasons" to approve development within the AONB has not been met.

CARE, WOAW (Watch Over Adisham's Woods) and Adisham Parish Council are backing the notices issued against developers who have installed various buildings, shipping containers, driveways and hard standing in "Tower Woods" (along Woodlands Road).
