Local Plan Consultation - How to Respond
The first Draft Plan consultation (and the one we need everyone to take part in) is open:
from Monday 11 March to Monday 3 June (5pm).
This page on the Canterbury City Council website has links to everything you need.
You can also find many key documents on our website.
You have several options:
complete the council questionnaire (you can view all the questions first)
send an email (to consultations@canterbury.gov.uk)
reply by post – apparently about a third of people did this last time. You can print and fill in the council's form (or ask them to send you a copy - it's 72 pages!) or just write your own letter.
CARE is organising:
a village meeting (Thursday 18 April, 7pm in the Village Hall)
"drop-in" sessions (to speak to someone or use a computer)
stalls at selected village events
Things to remember:
visitors to the district can comment, you don't have to live or work here
but whoever you are, you must provide your name and address
only one submission per person will be accepted
you can comment on anything in the plan
you don't need to answer every question
